SCORE Greater Cincinnati Client of the Year Receives State Award

Cincinnati, Ohio—Oct. 14, 2020 – Molly Nagle, owner of Spruce Nail Shop in Over-The-Rhine, was named Woman-Owned Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small

Business Administration Columbus, Ohio District during 2020 National Small Business Week in September.

“It has been my pleasure to work with Molly as her SCORE mentor for several years and to see Spruce Nail Shop grow and prosper,” said SCORE Volunteer Carlin Stamm. “She well deserves this recognition, as she is a credit to the Over-the-Rhine community and an astute and caring business owner who has been able to successfully manage her business through changing business environments.”

Nagle was also named SCORE Greater Cincinnati Client of the Year in October 2019. She first began working with the business organization in 2015, fine-tuning her business plan to open an environmentally friendly nail salon. Spruce opened in Over-The-Rhine in March 2016 with five employees. In 2020, she moved her shop to 1818 Race Street and expanded her services to include mobile nail services and skin care. Spruce employs 23 people.
